Director Jeremy Easley, Ed.D.
Jeremy Easley Ed.D., is the director of The Palmetto Excel Center, a free public charter high school in North Charleston, S.C. The school educates adults 21 and older who want to earn high school diplomas, industry-recognized certifications, and/or dual enrollment credits.
Dr. Easley joined the Palmetto Excel Center after serving as the Lead Instructor at the Goodwill Excel Center (GEC) in Washington, D.C. During his time at GEC, Dr. Easley used his ten-plus years of educational experience to support the growth of the instructors, as well as maintained the instructional integrity of the school.
Dr. Easley earned his bachelor’s degree in Secondary English Education from Kennesaw State University. He then continued his educational pursuits by earning his Master’s and Specialist degrees in Instructional Technology, and Doctorate in Teacher Leadership. He continues to apply the knowledge he gained to innovate and re-engineer how we educate students, as well as support teachers in their growth journeys.
Dr. Easley seeks to Re-imagine high school education for adult learners by providing well-rounded educational services in hopes of preparing students for economic mobility. He is dedicated to supporting a staff who provides equitable, student-centered, competency-based instruction for adult learners while nurturing the social and mental well-being of students and empowering all learners to remove barriers inside and outside the classroom. He is also committed to fostering a culture of care, empathy, and community, where all voices are heard and validated.
